Morceau is a Montreal based boutique of curated home goods, mainly focusing on design objects from the 20th century. The company was founded in 2020 by owners Alain and Vickie, a young couple who moved to the city in 2015. After both amassing more than 20 years of experience in furniture sales and in the fabrication of high-end lamps, they decided to branch out on their own to share their unique style to the sometimes redundant offering found elsewhere. What started as a simple vintage store, has now grown into importing some of the worlds most sought after brands in the home decor world. More than an online store, Morceau holds a physical showroom, open to the public, in the heart of the Plateau-Mont-Royal neighbourhood of Montreal. Having a physical space is important to further demonstrate the effort that goes into the curation and preservation of pieces. All vintage pieces are restored in-house by both founders who have extensive knowledge in the wood refinishing and lamp-making processes. Nothing leaves the shop without passing very strict quality and safety protocols.
